When you sponsor a loon, you are helping ACLC continue to fund important research studies on loons in the Adirondacks. You can choose your sponsorship level, and you will receive special gifts an updates about a banded loon on one of our study lakes in the Adirondack Park.

How Does it Work?

In 2026, ACLC is revamping the Sponsor a Loon Program. Our goal is to feature two different loons for sponsorship each summer. This means that we won’t be able to begin identifying which banded loons will be featured until they return to the Adirondacks each spring and summer, so your image and updates about your loon will be in real time!

If you purchase a Sponsor a Loon package between March and June 2026, we’ll confirm your sponsorship and begin sending your sponsorship materials in June. If you purchase a Sponsor a Loon Package between September 2026 and February 2027, you will receive the full packet of sponsorship materials for one of our summer 2026 sponsored loons.

An 8”x10” photo of your sponsored loon
3 ACLC stickers
Educational fact sheet(s) about loons generally
A tote bag

$150 Sponsorship packages include:

Three updates about your loon from lake monitors observing your loon
