Join ACLC staff for a guided paddle on a local lake (20-30 minute drive from Saranac Lake) to observe loons in their natural habitat while learning about loon behavior and natural history. ACLC staff will answer questions and point out elements of interest related to healthy ecosystems.
Participants must provide their own boats, and more information about rentals and recommendations can be found at adkloon.org/outreach.
One week before the paddle, an email with details about location, driving directions and any other special instructions will be sent.
Your contribution includes a two-hour experience with a Loon Center guide.
*Guided paddles require a minimum of two registered paddlers and are limited to 10 paddlers. Kids 10 and under riding in a boat as a passenger are free.
Private paddles for at least two people can be booked with ACLC biologists as their schedules permit.
Please email education@adkloon.org for more information about private paddles.
